PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment method for a high temperature exhaust gas capable of smoothly collecting dust even if the temperature of a dust-containing exhaust gas is high. SOLUTION: In removing dust from the dust-containing exhaust gas with a temperature of 500-900°C by a bag filter 54, the bag filter is back washed by a back washing gas of which the temperature is set to the temperature±100°C of the dust-containing exhaust gas.
