SAN MODE LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY

摘要

PURPOSE: An SAN(Spiral Aligned Nematic) mode liquid crystal display is provided to change a pitch and a pretilt angle by controlling an amount of a chiral addition, thereby reducing driving voltage and reducing consumption power. CONSTITUTION: An upper substrate includes color filters. A lower substrate includes thin film transistors. Polarizing plates are attached to external surfaces of the upper substrate and the lower substrate. A liquid crystal layer is interposed between the upper substrate and the lower substrate. A pitch is changed into 10-30 μm, and a pretilt angle is changed into 50-80 deg. by controlling an amount of a chiral addition.
