PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of inexpensively and effectively melting snow by using a snow melting material capable of storing the heat by utilizing the solar energy without executing special work and using electric power. SOLUTION: In this snow melting method using microcapsule including a thermal storage medium, the thermal storage medium having a melting point within a range of 0-30°C is used. Concretely, the microcapsule including the thermal storage medium selected from at least one kind of n-paraffin of carbon number of 13-18 are used.
