Lubricant and pressure transfer agent comprises oleochemicals with the double bonds epoxidized and converted to ketones by heterogeneous catalysis using an environmentally friendly process. An Independent claim is also included for the preparation of the lubricant and pressure transfer agent by preparing epoxides of oleochemicals, fatty acids and/or fatty acid derivatives and heterogeneously catalyzing to ketones.
