Production of seamless hollow glassware

Production of a hollow glass product having an orifice on an IS machine comprises: placing a preform part on a mouth preform part forming the mouth of a preform; introducing a glass gob into the preform; forming a preform molding; transferring the preform molding into a finishing mold; blowing the preform into the finishing mold; and removing the hollow glass product. Production of a hollow glass product having an orifice, e.g. a thread, on an IS machine comprises: placing a preform part on a mouth preform part forming the mouth of a preform; introducing a glass gob into the preform, forming a preform molding; transferring the preform molding into a finishing mold (30) consisting of a molding part (32) which encloses the predominant part of the outer wall (34) of the hollow glass product (31) during blowing; blowing the perform into the finishing mold; and removing the hollow glass product. An Independent claim is also included for a device for producing the hollow glass product. Preferred Features: The preform molding is transferred into the finishing mold using an orifice preform part. The finished product is partially removed from the finishing mold by a part of the finishing mold forming the base lower side of the product in the axial direction.
