METHOD FOR DATA TRANSMISSION IN AN ATM SWITCHING CENTER

The inventive method for data transmission is realized in an ATM switching center comprising an ATM switching device for ATM cells of several virtual channels and at least two peripheral switching devices for ATM minicells. Data on individual connections are allocated to each ATM minicells in the switching devices for ATM minicells. The ATM minicells are embedded in the ATM cells so that data on individual connections can be transmitted by said ATM cells in the virtual channels of the ATM switching device.
