The tiebars of the clamping unit move through a support (1), in particular a fixed tool-carrying platen (1). A sleeve (4) around each tiebar adjoins the platen and forms an annular chamber (6) around the related tiebar. A connector (8) links the annular chamber to a suction pump. An Independent claim is made for a sleeve for an injection machine comprising two semi-cylindrical profiles which connect with each other and form a seal.
