PURPOSE: A traffic information collection system by using a mobile communication network is provided to correct the traffic information in a real time by mounting the mobile communication terminal on the bus. CONSTITUTION: A traffic information collection system by using a mobile communication network includes a data base management system(100), an operating route managing device(110), a base station managing device(120), a geometric information managing device(130), a mapping information generator(140), a terminal position information managing device(150), a traffic information collection and process device(160), a traffic information distributing device(170), a control block(200), terminal position information receiver(180), a base station(230) and a mobile terminal(190). The data base management system(100) includes a bus route information data base(10), a base station information data base(20), a road information data base(30), a base station information for each of the bus routes(40), an information between the base station and the link(50), a terminal position information data base(60), a traffic information data base for each of the operation periods(70), a mapping information data base between the link and the period(80) and a data base gate(90). In the traffic information collection system, the traffic information server manages the base station and the road information, collects the position information of the mobile terminal through the relay device and extracts the speed information as the change status of the position information of the mobile terminal.
