METHOD FOR MAKING HOLLOW PARTS WITH BRANCHES

FIELD: plastic metal working in machine engineering, possibly manufacture of hollow parts with branches. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of shaping branch in working cavity of die half; calibrating branch along outer surface and working end of branch by end upsetting process; placing inside branch elastic member with cavity; performing end upsetting by means of stepped punch and simultaneously creating counterpressure with use of rigid insert arranged in hollow part. It provides formation of thickened portions on walls of branches of hollow parts. EFFECT: simplified system of effort applying, reduced manufacturing expenses. 1 dwg
