<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor wherein density at the time of printing can be adjusted by only adjustment of color elements of red, green and blue. <P>SOLUTION: When only a red notch is adjusted to a 'pale' side, the red notch sets brightness and contrast which are set in a deep notch which is opposite to the red notch by symmetrizing a reference, in an internal processing which is not concerned with a user. Value of red is reduced as a whole, but contrast is added, so that a high value for constituting a white background is not so changed. Red becomes inconspicuous in a part of a middle color. As a result, green and red become conspicuous, and red is seen to be pale. When only a red notch is adjusted to a 'deep' side, brightness of red is increased and contrast is emphasized by performing the similar operation. Value of red is increased as a whole, and the whole sight becomes too bright by contrast, so that color jumping is not generated.
