<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication method for a videophone by which a user can optionally revise an image standard of an image being transmitted to an opposite user during image communication and remote-control optionally even the image standard of an image sent from the opposite user. <P>SOLUTION: The communication method for transmitting a digital video signal between a plurality of devices is characterized in that the method includes: a step of receiving digital video compression information; a step of obtaining control information in the received digital video compression information; and a step of reproducing the digital video compression information being received according to the control information, and the control information indicates the number of horizontal and vertical pixels multiplexed after at least the number of horizontal and vertical pixels of an image is changed and multiplexed just before the digital video compression information converted according to the number of horizontal and vertical pixels after the revision. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
