PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the curl-up phenomenon of a diaphragm. SOLUTION: The diaphragm 32 formed of a rubber material is disposed between a top plate 24 and a piston 12. A pipe 38 passing through the top plate 24 and an upper side holding metal bar 26 is disposed in the top plate 24 and the upper side holding metal bar 26 to communicate a space on the outside of the rolling lobe type air spring 10 with a space S1 in the diaphragm 32. The outer diameter of the shape at the axial range, at the time of manufacture, of the diaphragm 32 in contact with the outer peripheral surface of the piston 12 in a usable stroke range is formed smaller than the maximum outer diameter of the upper part of the piston 12.
