The refill is used directly, or indirectly via an intermediate part, to switch into writing mode. A single/multi-sectional grip spring element guides the refill, moves it into/out of position, and also contains the return mechanism. The refill (4) passes through an opening (d) in a metal frame (1) and extends into a grip part (2). This has a bore (e) containing the spring (3). The spring presses the refill through opening and bore and pushes its blunt end into an aperture (a,b) in the metal frame for writing/neutral positions. The refill is advanced into writing position, and retracted by pushing the end (1b) of the metal frame in opposite direction, causing the refill to slip out of one aperture (b) and arrested by the spring in the other aperture (a).
