PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel method for cleaning sewage capable of rationalizing a maintenance/management and a cleaning work; a device for cleaning sewage having a novel structure using therefor and a mixed foreign matter separator for a cleaning tank having a novel structure. SOLUTION: In the method for sewage, a solid substance is roughly filtered by a filter cage 3 disposed just below a flow-in port 21 and is accumulated so as to be subjected to a wasting treatment as a general garbage. The passed sewage is stored and is gradually subjected to a cleaning treatment and the contaminated water in the sewage cleaning tank 1 is periodically pumped up. Only the treated water subjected to a centrifugal separation and an oil/water separation is returned into the sewage cleaning tank 1. A solid substance and a precipitated substance are removed as much as possible to carry out storage and a cleaning treatment. The supernatant is gradually drained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
