PURPOSE: A method for obtaining the images of a vehicle distance control system by using the IMAQ is provided to efficiently perform ICC(Intelligent Cruise Control) by monitoring the front area of a vehicle via a CCD(Charge Coupled Device) camera. CONSTITUTION: A method for obtaining the images of a vehicle distance control system by using the IMAQ comprises the steps of obtaining images from the images picked up via a CCD camera by using a low-level IMAQ function(ST21), continuously storing the images in a buffer(ST22), selecting a frame rate for setting up a timing for image processing(ST23), storing the images in a storing medium at the selected frame rate(ST24), recognizing a final frame while regenerating the images stored in the storing medium(ST25,ST26), and stopping the regeneration of images when the final frame is approached.
