PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a control signal for completing pull-in of tracking servo control within the dynamic range of a tracking error signal wherein stable tracking servo control is performed. SOLUTION: The optical disk drive is equipped with an operation order control means (35) for sequentially carrying out speed servo control for keeping relative movement of a beam spot to a recording surface part of an optical disk (20) in a state where the movement is carried out in a specified direction at a specified moving speed, speed pull-in control for varying the relative moving speed of the beam spot to the recording surface part of the optical disk into a state wherein the speed servo control should be started, and braking control for stopping the beam spot from the state wherein the relative movement of the beam spot to the recording surface part of the optical disk is carried out in the specified direction at the specified moving speed prior to the start of the tracking servo control.
