PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolytic solution impregnating method and a device, which are capable of firmly, sufficiently, and very efficiently impregnating an electrolytic capacitor element with an electrolytic solution, even if the electrolytic solution of high viscosity is used as an impregnant. SOLUTION: An electrolytic solution impregnating device is equipped with a case 8 with an openable door 6, where an electrolytic capacitor element 9 is housed, an impregnating tank 2 where an impregnating holder 11 keeping an electrolytic solution 10 is fixed in a detachable manner, a pressure adjusting unit 3 which adjusts the inner pressure of the impregnating tank 2 to a prescribed value, a door-locking unit 4 which locks the door 6, while keeping it in a hermetically closed state when the impregnating tank 2 is pressurized, and a holder drive mechanism 5 which moves the impregnating holder 11 in a vertical direction and is capable of impregnating the electrolytic capacitor element 9 with the electrolytic solution 10 kept in the impregnating holder 11, so that the electrolytic capacitor element 9 can the forcibly impregnated with the electrolytic solution 10.
