<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calibration system capable of adjusting an image with high accuracy and excellent gradation over the entire density. <P>SOLUTION: The calibration system by which an image output device 101 forming a color image using four CMYK color materials corrects density variants, where the image output device 101 prints out a single color patch on a prepared reference chart 102 in advance so as to decide a density adjustment value on the basis of a comparison result between the reference density and the single color path. After the selection of the single color patch, the adjustment value of the density of one point after the adjustment is used, the image output device 101 outputs two kinds of single color gradations of a highlight part and a shadow part. And selecting a single color gradation with an optimum gradation from the gradations can decide a gamma curve. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
