A micro device feeder [10] includes mounting plate [12] having a movable drive plate [16]. An input mechanism [22] on the movable drive plate [16] receives micro devices contained in a tape [24]. A sprocket [26] engages and advances the tape [24]. A feeder width adjustment mechanism [30] allows for movement of the movable drive plate [16] relative to the mounting plate [12] for adjusting the sprocket [26] to accommodate tapes [24] different widths where the distance between the tape [24] and sprocket [26] centerlines change.
