PURPOSE: A method of transmitting an OSD(On Screen Display) font is provided to transmit the OSD font from a digital television to an OSD processor that does not include a separate font ROM to rapidly download data from a microcomputer to the OSD processor. CONSTITUTION: Data items about fonts are grouped into blocks by OSD menus and the blocks are stored in a ROM of a microcomputer. When a digital television is powered(300), a font block corresponding to an OSD initial menu is transmitted to an OSD processor. When an OSD menu is selected through a key input unit, a font block corresponding to the selected OSD menu is transferred from the microcomputer to the OSD processor. The selected OSD menu is displayed on a screen using the font block transmitted to the OSD processor(350). |
