VISION SYSTEM, METHOD AND APPARATUS UTILIZING SPATIAL OSCILLATION

A vision system, method and apparatus utilizing spatial oscillation is described employing processes that rely on principles deduced from mammalian vision. The invention applies a spatio-temporal signature system and match filtering to an image detector to extract instant spatio-temporal contrast information for purposes of determining additional information otherwise masked. The detector further provides texture, motion and velocity information all directly from a detector array and its supporting logic.
