PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method for obtaining a methacrylic artificial marble which has no defects such as failures in light and shade spots and contrasts when slurry containing inorganic powder is poured, and cast polymerization is performed, and has a uniform appearance. SOLUTION: Slurry containing 0 to 40 pts.mass artificial marble broken particles (III) having a particle diameter of 0.1 to 8 mm, 0.5 to 10 mass pts. polymer particles (IV) containing polymer particles (A) with a multilayer structure having a mean particle diameter of 0.05 to 0.5μm, and provided with an outermost layer consisting of a methyl methacrylate based polymer, and provided with at least one rubber polymer layer at the inside, and 0.01 to 0.5 mass pts. mica fine particles (V), and having a viscosity of 0.1 to 20 Pa.s is cast-polymerized into 100 pts.mass of a composition consisting of a 20 to 80 pts.mass unsaturated monomer (I) essentially consisting of methyl methacrylate and 80 to 20 mass% inorganic powder (II) having a mean particle diameter of 0.1 to 100μm.
