PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish a method for forming a pattern for making a more refined dress, realize the standardization and especially enable the dressmaking for more easily fitting to a woman's body. SOLUTION: This pattern making work is performed by using a pattern forming rule L imparted with a function for helping the rough sketch work, separating an 'Original pattern formation' and a 'Parts formation' for standardizing, separating the 'Original pattern formation' to a 'Body original pattern', a 'Long sleeve original pattern' and a 'Short sleeve original pattern', and further separating the details of these parts formation to a 'Front neck line', a 'Front armhole line', a 'Rear armhole line', a 'Breast dart line', a 'Shoulder dart line', a 'Front sleeve top line', a 'Rear sleeve top line', a 'Front cuff' and a 'Rear cuff', and performing the pattern formation by combining the part formations with the original pattern.
