PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing system that can easily and surely confirm that an information providing requester is a utilizing contractor of an information providing service and correctly provide information to the utilizing contractor requesting the provision of the information. SOLUTION: In the information providing system where an information mobile terminal 20 requests an information center 10 to provide information via a voice communication line 51 of a portable telephone set, the information center 10 transmits the information to the information terminal 20 via a data communication channel 52 of the portable telephone set, the information terminal 20 reproduces the information and provides the information to a contractor for utilizing the information providing service, when the information terminal 20 makes a call to the information center 10 via a voice communication channel 51, the information terminal 20 attaches a caller notice code 186 to the head of the telephone number of the information center 10, when the information center 10 receives a call from the information terminal 20, the information center 10 can confirm whether or not the information terminal 20 is a contractor of using the information providing service whose portable telephone set number is registered in advance on the basis of the informed telephone number of the portable telephone set of the information terminal 20.
