PURPOSE: A water supply control method of a washing machine having an electrolyzer and an apparatus thereof are provided to improve the reliability by increasing the reactivity of electrolysis with keeping discharge pressure of a washing water chamber constant. CONSTITUTION: A water supply device of a washing machine comprises a water supply tank(101) installed to be lower than an electrolyzer to supply basic water to a water tub; a washing water pump(103) supplying basic water from the water tank to the water tub; a counter flow preventive valve(105) preventing counter flow of basic water to the water tub; high and low water level sensors(107,109) installed in the water supply tank to detect the water level; a washing water drain valve(111) discharging remaining basic water from the water tank; a pH measuring unit(113) detecting pH of basic water; and a control unit controlling the washing water pump, the counter flow preventive valve and the washing water drain valve corresponding to the basic water level in the water tank. Lowering of reactivity of electrolysis is prevented by supplying basic water from the water tank to the water tub. |
