PURPOSE: An organic electroluminescence device is provided to prevent the resistance of a transparent electrode from being increased abnormally due to reaction between oxygen and moisture when a contact region with the transparent electrode is exposed. CONSTITUTION: A substrate(121) consists of a pixel region and a ground region, and a thin film transistor is formed at the pixel region. A ground electrode(154) is formed at the ground region. An opaque metal layer(134) is formed at the pixel region and is connected with the thin film transistor. A luminescence layer(136) is formed at the pixel region and the ground region. A transparent metal layer(138) is formed on the luminescence layer and is connected with the ground electrode. A protection part(155) is formed on the transparent metal layer and is extended to a contact region between the ground electrode and the transparent metal layer.
