PURPOSE: A system and method for transmitting data broadcasting contents are provided to divide data broadcasting contents having correlation to transmit a part of the contents through sky waves and transport the other part through the Internet. CONSTITUTION: A system for transmitting data broadcasting contents includes a data contents register(131) for registering data broadcasting contents, and a data contents classifier(133) for classifying the registered data broadcasting contents into basic data and additional data and generating trigger information according to temporal dependence of the basic data and additional data. The system further includes a data contents manager(135) for storing the basic data, additional data and trigger information in a data storage unit(137) and reading the data and information from the data storage unit, and a data contents extractor(139) for transmitting the basic data and synchronization information through sky waves and sending the additional data through the Internet to a receiving system.
