<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for checking a driver, which enable the identification of the driver and the management of driving permission information. <P>SOLUTION: This system is provided with: an IC card which is to be carried by a user capable of driving a vehicle 2, and in which an ID, the driving permission information and the like are to be stored; and an information processor 4 for being mounted on the vehicle 2. The information processor 4 is provided with: a card control part which carries out communication with the IC card 3; an engine control part 442 which makes an engine driveable according to a control signal; a door lock part 441 which locks/unlocks a door in accordance with the control signal; a storage part for storing the IDs and the driving permission information corresponding to the IDs; and a central control part which outputs the control signal, based on the ID and the corresponding driving permission information, to the lock part 441, when the control part receives the ID, outputs the control signal, based on the ID and the driving permission information, to the control part 442, stores the ID and the driving permission information in the storage part at the reception of the ID and the driving permission information, and records a history in the storage part after prescribed processing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
