PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composite material for electromagnetic induction heating, which generates high power even by thinning an exothermic layer of a magnetic material, or the like, in the composite material having the magnetic layer formed on at least a part of one side of a nonmagnetic substrate, and to provide a cookware for electromagnetic induction heating. SOLUTION: This composite material for the electromagnetic induction heating comprises the layer of the magnetic material consisting of an alloy with high magnetic permeability on at least a part of one side of the nonmagnetic substrate, and the layer of the metallic material consisting of the metallic material (except Cu) with lower electrical resistivity than the magnetic material, to form one or more alternately combined couples.
