PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an impact applied on a payload when a rocket and the payload are separated. SOLUTION: This annular clamp band 8 surrounding a flange 2a at the front end of an upper rocket 2 and a flange 1a at the rear end of the payload 1 and separating them after completion of launch of the upper rocket 2 comprises two semispherical members 8a and 8b, at least one of which is made of shape-memory metal, has a passage 9 of an extremely low-temperature propellant inside, and when the propellant is made to flow, the curvature radius of the member 8b is increased and cancels connection between the members 8a and 8b so that the upper rocket 2 is separated from the payload 1.
