PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a matte polyester film showing a uniform matte surface, preventing the falling-off of fine particles comprising a contained resin and enhanced in folding endurance. SOLUTION: The matte polyester film is constituted by laminating a polyester layer with a thickness of 0.5μm or more containing a thermoplastic polyolefinic resin and a polystyrenic resin in an amount of 1 wt.% or less on at least the single surface of a polyester film containing 0.1-4 wt.% of at least one kind of a resin selected from the group consisting of the thermoplastic polyolefinic resin and the polystyrenic resin and amorphous silica particles with a mean particle size of 1-9μm.
