<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing assembly, in particular for a cross member of a universal joint, which ensures that the rolling contact members are guided sufficiently and positively in spite of the existence of tolerances. <P>SOLUTION: The bearing assembly comprises a bearing journal 13, a bearing element 8, a rolling-contact member 17, a stopper ring 20, a disk portion 23 arranged between an end face 16 of the bearing journal and a bottom face 11, and a supporting portion 24, which is radially adjoining to the disk portion with reference to a journal axis 15, and is brought into contact with a second end faces of the rolling-contact members.
