PURPOSE: A joining structure for over load protector of a hermetic compressor is provided to improve sensibility of the over load protector by improving the joining structure of the over load protector mounted on an outside of a hermetic container. CONSTITUTION: A joining part(111a) is formed on an upper cover(111) of a hermetic container for an over load protector(112) installed on a periphery of the upper cover to sense temperature in the hermetic container to be mounted thereon. The joining part is concavely formed with width and depth corresponding with width and thickness of the over load protector. Area on which the over load protector contacts with the periphery of the upper cover is expanded as the over load protector is mounted in the joining part. A thermal conductor(113) is charged between the joining part of the upper cover and the over load protector to improve thermal sensibility of the over load protector. The joining part and the thermal conductor improve thermal sensibility of the over load protector for smooth control.
