The monitoring of at least one filter (16, 35) in the dialysis liq. system of an extra-corporal blood treatment device, which is divided by a membrane (17, 36) which retains germs, into a first (15, 34) and a second (18, 37) chamber, comprises filling at least one branch of the dialysis liq. system, using an element (23), with an aqueous liq. to completely wet the membrane of the filter(s) to be checked. A chamber (18, 37) of the system contg. one of the two filter chambers is blocked off from the other branch of the system by an element (21). Gas is fed by an element (42) into the branch contg. the one filter chamber by displacing liq. through the filter membrane. The gas stream is stopped when a given monitored overpressure is attained in the filter chamber. Also claimed is a dialysis liq. system for a treatment device employing the above process, having a pressure monitor (56) for the chamber (18, 34). |
