SPECIALIZED MEMORY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory that an application specific signal processing unit (ASSPU) and a main processing unit can access at the same time.

SOLUTION: A specialized memory device comprises: a memory module which includes at least one specialized memory bank and at least one regular memory bank; the ASSPU which has an access to the at least one specialized memory bank; a bus interface which enables the main processing unit to access the at least one specialized memory bank and at least one regular memory bank; and a traffic management unit (TMU) which allows at least one access to the at least one specialized memory bank by the ASSPU simultaneously with at least one access to the at least one regular memory bank by the main processing unit.
