The processing chamber (100) of the cooker has underneath a waste water chamber (200) as well as a fresh air chamber (300). A connecting pipe (107) between the processing chamber and fresh air chamber has a controlled adjustable steam-tight closure (303) whilst a further connecting pipe (108) between the processing chamber and the waste water chamber also has a controlled adjustable steam tight closure (203). Where required the waste water chamber is connected to a vent pipe (204) through a water header (512). The water header can be a concave swivel body filled with fluid and positioned by motorised control and associated with a sealing element which floats in the liquid. A grease filter can be incorporated in the waste water drainage system.
