MICROSTRIP SLOT COUPLING-TYPE DIRECTIONAL COUPLER WITH IMPROVED DEGREE OF SEPARATION

PURPOSE: A microstrip slot coupling-type directional coupler is provided to improve the degree of separation by forming a plurality of auxiliary slots on a rectangle slot. CONSTITUTION: Upper and lower microstrip transmission lines(14,15) are provided on an upper surface of a grounding plate(13). A rectangle slot(12) is formed on a central portion of the grounding plate(13). A plurality of auxiliary slots(18) are formed on a long-side of the rectangle slot(12) with a predetermined interval. A dielectric layer is formed between the grounding plate(13) and the upper and lower microstrip transmission lines(14,15). A length of the rectangle slot(12) is determined as 1/4 of an odd mode and a width(G) thereof is determined so as to implement an even mode characteristic impedance.
