SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REMOTELY CONTROLLING COMPUTER

PURPOSE: A system and a method for remotely controlling a computer are provided to remotely control the computer by linking a cellular phone communicating through a mobile communication network with a terminal communicating through the Internet. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a wireless communication network(1), the computer connectable to the Internet(3), the cellular phone(5) accessing the system of the computer(10) through the wireless communication network(1), and the terminal(7) accessing the system of the computer(10) through the Internet(3). A user performs a simple work such as turn on/off the power of the computer through the cellular phone(5). In case of a complex work, the user remotely controls the computer(10) by using the terminal(7) such as a notebook or a PDA(Personal Digital Assistant) through the Internet(3). If the user requests the IP(Internet Protocol) information to the computer(10) through the cellular phone(5), the computer(10) offers the IP information to the user by sending an e-mail through the Internet(3) or using an SMS(Short Message Service) of the cellular phone(5) through the wireless communication network(1).
