The present invention refers to a system for controlling the liquid level in a depository, of the kind which comprises a first depository or water supply source, a second water storage depository; a pump connected between the water supply source and the first depository for filling the second depository whenever required. The system comprises means for sensing the water level positioned within said second water storage depository to produce a conjunct of indicative signals of the second depository level. A control circuit connected to the sensing means, to operate the pump for the filling of the second depository; and an oscillating circuit associated to the control circuit so that, in cooperation with said oscillating circuit it can produce signals of indicative beats of the level of said second depository, the sensing means are for starting or stopping the pump operation in response to signals coming from the oscillating circuit to indicate that the level of the second depository ha s descended below a preset range and to turn said pump off when the indicator signals show that the second depository has reached to a maximum preset level.
