PURPOSE: A message transmitting method in a paging channel is provided to transmit effectively a data message through the paging channel, thereby enhancing a reception rate of a data burst message. CONSTITUTION: Eight overhead messages are transmitted within 16 slots by alternate slot unit(at every two slot). In the next slot period, overhead message are transmitted to slots, to which overhead messages are not transmitted at the previous slot period, by the alternate slot unit(at every two slot). By using this method, a case that the terminal does not received continuously is not generated. That is, all terminals receive the overhead message certainly once at every two-slot period. A transmission delay of an overhead message and a data bust message is generated only when the sum of two-message length exceeds one slot.
