PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate external access in an access time of one time of memory core operation apparently even when refresh-operation conflicts external access request at the time. SOLUTION: This semiconductor memory has memory cores of dividing a plurality of bit data of the same address into a plurality of memory cell blocks and storing them, a control circuit controlling it. The control circuit can control refresh-operation independently respectively for a plurality of memory blocks, and controls so that one side of memory cell block and the other side memory block perform refresh-operation with different timing.
