PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reader capable of obtaining a satisfactory image by preventing an influence that a specific point gives to transporting speed. SOLUTION: To solve the above problem, an image forming device related to this present invention is typically configured to have platen glass for reading an image, a read and feed means for transporting an original to the platen glass, a guide means for guiding the original from the read and feed means to the platen glass, and an image read means for reading the original through the platen glass. The read and feed means is a pair of rotators, and the pair of rotators are arranged so that nips of the pair of rotators may incline to the platen glass side with respect to the guiding direction of the guiding means.
