OPTICAL TRANSCEIVER AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-channel optical transceiver which is inexpensive and has high reliability, and to provide its manufacturing method.

SOLUTION: The optical transceiver is equipped with an optical reception part which converts light signals inputted from a multifiber tape 17 into electric signals and outputs them to the outside or an optical transmission part which converts a plurality of electric signals inputted from outside into light signals by a plurality of optical elements 20 and outputs them from the multifiber tape 17. A pitch conversion part 24 where an end part of the multifiber tape 17 is branched into respective fibers 19 and the pitch of the fibers 19 is gradually varied from the pitch before the branching to the pitch of the plurality of optical elements 10 is formed and covered with a resin molding part 26.
