OPTICAL FIBER UNIT WITH LENS, AND LENS FORMING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical fiber unit with lens which can constitute a optical-semiconductor-mounted module by using none of a microlens array, a spherical tip optical fiber, and an optical semiconductor element with a lens which have caused a rise in the cost of an optical-semiconductor-mounted module. SOLUTION: An optical fiber 1 is inserted into an optical fiber connector receptacle 3 having an insertion hole 5 into which the optical fiber 1 is to be inserted, and the optical fiber 1 is arranged a specific distance inside the end part of the insertion hole 5 of the optical fiber connector receptacle 3 so that it will not project, and a resin lens part 7 made of an optical adhesive is provided at a hollow formed at the end part of the insertion hole 5 while including as its bottom surface the tip end surface of the optical fiber 1.
