PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toppling preventive device for a workbench or the like, which can prevent toppling of the workbench in a direction perpendicular to a leg opening direction of the workbench during application of the workbench etc., can be easily attached to the workbench or the like only during application of the workbench or the like on the condition that the workbench is vulnerable to toppling such as the case of work in a large worksite, is detachable from the workbench or the like when it is unnecessary, does not throw hindrances in the way of the application of the workbench or the like, does not increase the total weight of the workbench or the like to make it difficult to transport the workbench or the like, does not take up an especially large storage space for the workbench or the like, and does not mar the essential function of the portable workbench. SOLUTION: The workbench or the like comprises a ladder frame 3 which is formed by laying a plurality of step crosspieces across a pair of support legs 1 at appropriate intervals.
