PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric vehicle controlling device that can achieve more comfortable riding feeling by effectively controlling car body vibrations that occur when decelerated rapidly. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a torque command value computing means 31 that computes and outputs a prescribed torque command value in accordance with an acceleration operational variable A and a brake operational variable B, and a current command value computing means 32 that computes and outputs a prescribed current command value in accordance with the torque command value to perform the powering control or regenerative control of an electric motor in accordance with the current command value. This device is also provided with a rapid deceleration state judging means 34 that judges whether or not the vehicle is in the rapidly decelerated state based on the acceleration operational variable A and brake operational variable B, and a regeneration actuating timing delaying means that delays the regeneration actuating timing of the motor when the vehicle is judged to be in the rapidly decelerated state.
