FIELD: animal farming, in particular, protection of hoof horn of horse's limbs from wear and injury. ^ SUBSTANCE: horseshoe has body with pin openings, with number of openings ranging between 6 and 10, and front and rear supports. Front support is positioned at horseshoe curved portion and is bent for engaging crown of wall of hoof. Body has from 6 to 8 clamping-fastening petals made integral therewith and distributed in equally spaced relation on said body. Rear supports are attached to ends of horseshoe branches. Each of said pins has bolt, inside base and cone head. Method involves placing preliminarily prepared horseshoe on solid surface of ground and leading horse up to horseshoe so that its hoof is aligned with horseshoe to be attached; clamping hoof between front and rear supports and bending clamping-fastening petals in alternation until horseshoe tightly adheres to hoof. ^ EFFECT: painless attachment of horseshoe to horse's hoof without necessity of driving nails into hoof horn tissues to thereby impart stable state to horse. ^ 3 cl, 2 dwg |
