<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight and compact pipe joint which is easily and completely constructed at a job site, and particularly used for outdoor piping for the water supplying equipment buried in the ground. <P>SOLUTION: In this pipe joint comprising a joint body 110 having male screws 111 at its both ends, a cap nut 112 having a tapered inner peripheral face 114 inside of an end part opposite to a female screw 113 engaged with the male screw of the joint body, a packing 115 of the joint body, an annular cover 116 having a square cross-section, mounted in adjacent to cylindrical end faces of the both ends of the joint body, and pressed to the end faces of the joint body by the cap nut in fastening the cap nut, and a pipe pull-out preventing means mounted in an annular space 117 between the tapered inner peripheral face of the cap nut and a stainless steel pipe, the annular cover 117 is mounted in a state that its rear end edge 116 is positioned under the tapered inner peripheral face 114 of the cap nut. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
