Method for preparing a mycorrhiza-containing product (A) for modifying plant growth comprises: (1) comminuting mycorrhiza spores, as powder, or mycelium (on a carrier material) to particle size not over 2.5 mm; and (2) filling the product into a capsule-like body formed from two parts that can be fitted together. After filling, the capsule is sealed tight. The capsule is made of a water-soluble material that opens after a defined delay time.
