<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an error spread circuit capable of realizing smoother gradation display in the error spread processing for the gradation display. <P>SOLUTION: The error spread circuit 2 has a correlation detection circuit 25 and an error distribution circuit 24 controlled by the circuit 25. The correlation detection circuit 25 obtains a difference of a video signal level of each target pixel included in an input video signal 1 with respect to one frame and of that of each peripheral pixel, compares/decides the difference to detect the correlation denoting that the concerned target pixel has what relation to each peripheral pixel and outputs a control signal 6 to provide a command of selecting an error share ratio depending on the sequence of the intensity of the correlation. The error distribution circuit 24 selects an error distribution ratio to each peripheral pixel depending on the sequence of the correlation provided by the control signal 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
